Yosemite Sep 2008

We took a trip to Yosemite in September 2008. Above is a shot of Vernal Falls, not much water this time of year, but it made it possible to swim in the water at the bottom.

Oh, on the way we stopped at an Alpaca ranch.. Unlike Llamas, Alpacas don't spit unless you provoke them.
We camped at the North Pines Campground in the valley. It was really nice, we had spots 316 & 318 which were pretty good for the six of us in the group.

Yoko trying to "blend in"...

Above is my elaborate kitchen setup complete with running hot water provided by a thermos with a foot pump for pressure. LED lighting doesn't attact bugs like other types of light, at least that's been my experience.

There was a cool spot in our campground #502 & 504 which were very secluded at the point where the two streams meet. The only downside is an electric vault right near them. Who would put that right there?

Squirrels seemed to love hiding in my wheel wells.

A closeup of the majestic Yosemite squirrel.. a very proud animal..
Didn't have any bear problems until all of the sudden I made the mistake of offering some soda to one...

Yoko had better luck..
Eventually the bear and I became friends.
We went off road and almost drove off a cliff.
Ok, fine, it's just a toy, but we thought it would be funny.

Siesta lake.

Off to Tuolumne meadows.

Great trip, great time of year to visit.
